Company Milestones
In 1961, Lucky W. Somers founded the L.W. Somers Company, a manufacturers representative firm selling electro-mechanical parts to a wide variety of original equipment manufacturers in the upper Midwest.
In 1972, the company was incorporated as Somers-Reagan, Inc.
In 1979, Todd M. Somers, CPMR and Edward F. Stanton, CPMR joined the firm … expanding the company's professional sales capability.
In 1983, Gary L. Sosnowski, CPMR, joined the firm … solidifying our core professional outside sales capability.
In 1984, Todd Somers and Ed Stanton purchased all outstanding stock in equal amounts from Lucky Somers who remains with the firm in a consulting capacity.
In 1987, the name was changed to Somers-Stanton, Inc. to accurately reflect the ownership and management of the company.
In 2002, we continue our aggressive pursuit of sales growth … with CPMR ethical standards, and professionalism as our guiding principals. Unexpectedly, Ed Stanton passed away in September
Our Company Today
Somers-Stanton, Inc. provides professional sales, and service capabilities in the Midwest marketing area, including portions of Illinois, Indiana, and Wisconsin. We offer a variety of passive and/or electromechanical OEM components, designed for manufacturers utilizing electrical, and electronic content in their products, or equipment. With equal emphasis, we provide Automatic Test Equipment (ATE) related products and services, as well as Contract Manufacturing solutions.
Somers-Stanton, Inc. product lines are technical, sold and specified at the design, manufacturing, and test engineering levels. Each sales engineer works within the framework of a sales forecast and product sales goals. In addition to expanding unit and dollar sales at existing customers, we maintain a defined list of target prospects.
The goal of Somers-Stanton, Inc. is to provide our customers and prospects with complimentary products, and services, in an effort to meet their needs for value added, cost effective sourcing solutions.
