In 1961, Lucky W. Somers founded the L.W. Somers Company, a manufacturers representative firm selling electro-mechanical parts to a wide variety of original equipment manufacturers in the upper Midwest.

In 1972, the company was incorporated as Somers-Reagan, Inc.

In 1979, Todd Somers, CPMR and Ed Stanton, CPMR joined the firm … expanding the company's professional sales capability.

In 1984, Todd Somers and Ed Stanton purchased all outstanding stock in equal amounts from Lucky Somers who remains with the firm in a consulting capacity.

In 1987, the name was changed to Somers-Stanton, Inc. to accurately reflect the ownership and management of the company.

In 2002, we continue our aggressive pursuit of sales growth … with CPMR ethical standards, and professionalism as our guiding principals. Unexpectedly, Ed Stanton passed away in September.

In 2009, Somers-Stanton, Inc., having earned numerous Sales Awards and Testimonials from our principals, continues to focus on our customers needs and sourcing requirements. Now, more that ever, we recognize the need to "make it easy to do business" for our customers and our principals.
